How this is worked out
The first-year figure puts the whole one-off cost in year one, which is what it does to your cash. The true annual figure spreads hiring and equipment over how long you expect them to stay, which is the fairer number for planning a headcount. Neither includes statutory employer costs beyond what is already inside your CTC.
